A few dive sites in the vacinity of Villefranche bay: Lots of varied and very attractive dive sites are available quite close to Nice. Everyone can find a dive to his taste: 1 - Cap de Nice Several dives available there for all levels of divers, where you will be able to admire the magnificent blue gorgonians (paramuricea clavata which in fact are red). 2 - West side of the bay Several dives available for all levels of divers. Among others the coral cave (Grotte à Corail) which can be explored safely by everyone (a torch is necessary). Red coral still grows on the ceilling of the cave thanks to the respectful behaviour of the divers. 3 - East side of the bay Several dives available for all levels of divers. Wonderful shallow reef for novice divers with a rich sea life and drops for more experienced divers. 4 - St Jean Cap Ferrat Beautiful underwater cliffs covered with gorgonians. Only a 20 minute boat ride from Nice. 5 - Cap Estel 30 minutes boat ride from Nice you will find gullies, tunnels and gorgonians. Very rich in sea life
